New licencing requirements in force from today

On 1st May 2019, Scotland officially added beavers to their list of European Protected Species

Beaver Management Framework

Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) have developed a beaver management framework and have a guidance document available so that land owners and managers know what does and doesn’t require a licence.

Licencing

Licences will be available for development, land management, possession and survey and research.
